Yeah you will be leaner in areas that it wasn't before but if your tuner is going off the MAP sensor and not the throttle on tune if you stay out of boost it will be on the OE ECU and slight boost won't make too much of a difference plus they might have tuned it a little fat to begin with either keep an eye on it or take it in. A selling point for a wideband for sure!! Also winter gas sucks in some areas so that will add to the mix for sure. I luv Cali!

Banks are like that

You need to move back the OE flange a bit. You can cut and relocate or just make up a mid-pipe I did the later as Cali needs smog then I can swap out when the car needs to go in.

I only recommend the weld option for sure no leaks that way! Cost depends on whoever does it should be under an hour for labor at a shop. If you want to make turbo back exhaust let me know I'll include the flange to connect the dp.

if you would not mind when i order that would be great, i talked to the best shop here in town 4-8 hours for install at 75 an hour and 2 hours of dyno tuning at 150 an hour dose that sound like high prices?

Sounds fair, labor rate is about normal and we pay around $180 for dyno time.

great, just wanted to check with some one in the same industry. its not like our town is crawling in tuner shops like cali is, i would think that they would take advantage of that, but it dose not look like it.

Yeah I don't mind paying the prices if the shop has the know how, a couple of extra bucks spent can save you a ton later!

As for HKS, yes... http://www.365motorwerks.com/turbotimers.aspx

It's easier to ask for forgiveness then permission...or something like that. I'm know for past impulse purchases from a semi-running datsun 510 with a race motor that "appeared" at my house late one night a old school VW Rabbit shell that was dropped off in the driveway on a tow hook out of the blue to going to "look" at many motorcycles over the years that followed me home. If I leave the house with a fat pocket towing a trailer you never know what I might "find"!
Moral... do what you are going to do.
