Late last year when I bought mine I was told by Blitz North America that there is now only one
part number for the kit and it works with either transmission. Call them and ask. They are very
helpful. Phone: (626) 839-8350.

I have a 5sp and I did the install myself with the help of my mechanic Brother in law.
It took us about ten hours and a twelve pack. The only problem encountered was the
AC lines where in the way of the relocated alternator. This my or may not affect you
as the lines seem to be different in every xB I've checked. The only tuning required
was to install one degree cooler NGK iridium plugs and reset the ECU. It sometimes
still idols ruff at stop lights. I also had to put in a stage 2 clutch as the stock one
couldn't handle the extra torque. Mostly the system is plug and play though. Tapping
the ECU wires was a pain in the ___ and the directions where a little lacking but
mostly we where able to figure things out. The extra power is very noticeable but
not worth the three grand it cost. It sounds great and blows peoples minds when
they realize your running a blower. I like it and would do it again. I may need to
replace the gearbox as it seams to be on the way out. I’ll get one from a junkyard
and learn how to install it as I go. I still have not run the dyno but Hip2bsquare out
of Orlando did and I believe he got 128 whp out of an automatic.

I say use the brand that you like best but use the higher end plug in that line. The ECU
is the "Engine Control Unit". To reset it you need to either disconnect the battery or
pull the ECU fuse under the dash for at least 30 minutes. The directions are in broken
English with a Japanese copy as well. The directions refer to bolt #2 but they don't
label the bolts or tell what bolt #2 is. The Japanese direction are in color and well labeled,
and the English ones are old black and white copies of copies of copies (very poor).
As to how the transmission will hold up I can only guess. You are putting it under more
strain than it was designed for and I can only assume that will accelerate the normal
wear. Try to call Blitz again, they have a funny work schedule.
