Is anyone running the Greddy Supercharger w/ a manual trans?
I know Greddy says "Auto only" for its supercharger, but is anyone actually running it on a 5-speed xB/xA? Are there any problems?
I heard the reason was the clutch wouldn't handle the continuous power (clutch will need to get upgraded anyway at some point). I talked to a guy at SEMA 2006, and he reiterated that the SC was only for the auto. I asked why, and he said the the 5-speed xB/xA performed better with their turbo system (he didn't sound terribly confident when he told me this; it sounded like a bunch of hooey).

Who did the install for you? I'm actually gonna get the kit a soon as I get my income tax return. I looked at Greddy's website and dident find anything that says its only made for the automatic transmission. I already knew that the clutch would have to be upgraded seeing that many people with the Blitz SC soon found out that it needed to be replaced. I can't imagine anything would prevent it from being istalled. It would physically fit and the e-manage should only affect fuel...not transmission or shift point of the automatic trans...[/quote]
As far as destroying the motor mounts....I know you can't upgrade the existing motor mounts but you should be able to use a engine dampener to alleviate the extra stress on the mounts. Weapon R offers a kit for the xA and xB part #959-111-103
i was using the weapon r strut intill i bent the mounting bracket on the motor mount and it ran into the blower idler. the metal is just too soft. plus the bushings inside the strut startied making noise after about two weeks. im just gonna replace the last mount that i haven't replaced and then nut it up and weekend at my friends machine shop and just build what i need.

You can upgrade the stock mounts by pouring urethane in them. This will be what happens when my car goes boost...
Hey, does your box have the automatic transmission or the 5 speed? I just got my SC kit and the install manual says its made for the automatic transmission. I havent installed it yet cause I need to buy a couple of other parts that I want to install at the same time.

That link from Race Precisions forums gives you an idea. Ive never used that 3M stuff before though. I dont know what hardness it is and I couldnt tell because it wasnt written on the front of that tube in the pics.
I order all my urethane from www.mcmaster.com I would look at a two part casting compound, with a hardness of 94a. Ive used this to fill mounts, make bushings for air ride, etc...
