No, if he CEL light comes on for being too rich, then your piggyback is doing its job. you should aim for mid 12s AFR which is too rich of a condition for the ECU, in which then it will trigger the CEL.

Does your CEL come on and stay on when your running to rich or turn off after it leans back out?

It stays that way. I use the UEGO and datalog with Emanage so I know whats going on with the car everytime I drive. You can reset the ECU but its pointless. Ive come to the conclusion that if you go FI, the CEL is just something that goes along with it. The only way to get rid of it is to change the parameters on the stock ECU so that it will read 11 as too rich and 14 as too lean or something like that. As long as the car is running good, the CEL is not a problem. Having a scanner is a good investment too. I scan my ECU to make sure that the only codes its throwing is the too rich code. Unless someone designs a piggyback to alter the O2 readings the ECU gets, we'll have to live with the CEL.

Okay, thats what I figured.. It's funny how the tC's can boost with out CEL's but xB's cant.. Very very strange.

^Not if you unplug your maf and use a speed density tune on your ultimate like me, well there's a cel until Charles gets ahold of it again at least. Apparently the stock ecu thinks there's something wrong when the maf is unhooked, go figure The video looked good Billy, I'm anxious to see the final results.

Last time I talked to Kenny he asked if it was a good idea. I think he may be putting donw a rough idea to do one again. I think it would be good now that the xB kit is pretty much done. Last I heard he has enough parts to do a few kits, but is trying to fix any bugs that may come up. I just know that he has been busy with NOPI, SEMA, and a few other events right now.
