how is the greddy kit on roadtrips, i take a trip to atlanta for my moms birthday every year and its a 5 or a 6 hour drive...would i be able to make it straight there, or would i have to stop every couple hours to let the turbo cool down?

i was boosted a little over a year ago (cheap ebay setup like $500 kit) and had a boost spike and had to get a new head...i am just gonna get the "real" kit this time because saving money gave me a HUGE headache.

I drive my car 600 miles plus every weekend to commute to my jobsite, and it doesnt seem to overheat at all..

hey im about to pick up a used greedy kit as well and wanted to know were can a i get a good intercooler and pipeing i was thinking about getting that kit form greedy with the intercooler and pipeing but id rather havea clean setup like you said with the turbo fliped or whatever you are talking about..any ideas??or help?

If you can find someone to do a turbo to intercooler pipe for you this intercooler is excellent. Cold-side piping and mounting bracket are the same as the full 365 kit for the xB. I've done it and got great numbers, on PTuning's dyno even.

thanks man just started geting into turbos and wanted to be on the right track...hey vetterddie can ya get me that turbo to intercooler pipe and ill get the rest from 365?? pm me were i can pick it up..thanks for the help

Pipe was custom fitted, one off. I don't do welding and don't have a jig, you'd need to find someone local to do that for ya.

I like it. I'd love to get an xb, or xa and boost it many people don't expect them to be boosted.

greddy kit is crap! go custom. get a Garrett turbo. totally wish I woulda listened to people on this forum and not bought greddy. it is cheap!!!!!

the motor is crap lol, the kit was on for a year and 3 days.... haha, no i can build my motor during the winter

Unfortunately no one made a stand alone manifold until 365motorwerks, and even then you need to find a shop to fab the piping. Better off just getting the whole kit from them. Options are limited, I know you've personally had bad luck, but for others I'd say the Greddy will hold for daily driving, just be sure to get a BOV, upgrade to the tC injectors and get it retuned, and always run an wideband AF/R. The stock fuel map WILL run lean with any exhaust or intake upgrades, the kit should have came with injectors IMO.

Anything more powerful will just eat the engine internals. if you're running anything other than stock boost, you'll also need an optional pressure sensor to feed the eManage.

Yeah, blown_xA proved I think 5 times now that 150 whp is the break limit on stock rods. Not sure what his boost was at though.

little known fact ive stumbled on, use the weapon r CEL eliminator, and you'll never kick the tune. i have a PE CAMCON for fuel management, and im running 2.5" all the way no cat with the CEL elim and i havent kicked the toon or gone lean in like 2 months since i installed it. im running tc injectors too.
