we are gonna tune for 260whp (over 230 previous). My turbo spools slowly, there is a 100whp difference between 4500 and 5500 rpm so raising rev limiter to 7k should help me keep in boost when I upshift. I hope to get into the 12's. Trap speed regardless should be 112mph.

Next step will be headstuds, valvesprings. Then I will do a 8000 rpm limiter and max out this turbo ( my guess 350whp on our dyno).

Nice to see that you have a pretty well rounded car!

What did you end up doing with your injectors? Do you still have the 650cc's in there?

350whp in the xA on any dyno will be one tuff cookie to battle with...LOL. Looking forward to that Justin. Are you going to do a boost by gear setup to control grip?

My car has boost per gear naturally lol. I see about 6psi in 1st gear and 12 in second. Then 22 after that. This is because the turbo is large and the gears are short.

We ran into a issue tuning Friday night, when we set the rev limiter past factory, the car would go into limp mode. This is very strange because the Haltec controls everything. The factory ecu is just used to start the car and run gauges. We tried many things but have not figured it out yet.
We did get 247whp , making power to factory limiter.

Yesterday at the strip, I launched on the 2 step at 5000 rpm and immediatly hit that limp mode. 2nd run I broke an axle during my burn-out. Don't buy axles made in China. The only thing China makes well is Chinese food, and China (plates).

Looks like the Scion event in in Indiana will be my next attempt.

247whp is awesome still in my book. I reckon they don't make beefed up axles for the xA. Good luck, hope it's all ironed out by Indiana's event. We will be there as well, so I'll be able to check out the setup.

I may get the rev issue solved today, im sure it's something silly simple. My suspicion is the ignition relay because as soon as you clutch in it resets the limp mode and the only thing that clutch switch is running to is that.

I know Driveshaft shop makes axles but they are expensive. Im not serious about drag racing so im not planning to buy those just yet.

You using the ignition relay for the 2-step?

i still havent put mine in. are you pre-loading your axles when you launch? i've made a good 15 launches @ 5800 rpm, slicks, and 2 step, and the stock axles handle it. boost builds between 10-12 psi, and my tire pressure is about 10 psi.

it is a blast to drive. It pulls very hard. I get to drive a lot of fast cars working here, but my lil egg still suprises me.

My axle did not snap durning my launch brett it was durning a burn-out. I didnt even encounter wheelhop.

Read carefully, those are head BOLTS. Probably the same dimensions as stock, may or may not be stronger, but still a bolt, i.e. loading the head on torque and not the thread.

You can run ARP studs, but you need to drill and retap the block to accomidate them, and it may weaken the block insert. I wouldn't trust doing this by hand, would be a huge pain to align. Another option may be a helicoil w/ an ARP, but I haven't seen this on the 1NZ yet.

The Haltec controls the 2 step. I finally got my 7000 rpm redline, as I thought it was the factory ecu triggering the ignition relay to cut power to fuel pump, coils, and injectors anything past 6400. Just had to bypass it.

The tune was fine to 7000rpm, not much would change. I will be going to 1/8 mile tomorrow, I need to get that down because the powerband makes for a chor to get a decent time in the 1/8th mile. If I can get the 1/8th mile down im set
