Default Greddy S/C owners! Help a brotha out...

Ok, this will probably only make sense to the folks who have one of these...

Just put on my S/C, and I have a few issues.
Wanted to see how ya'll tackled them, or if you even had them....

1. I know another user mentioned similar problems... Above 5000rpm, I get belt slippage(squealing). I can't tell if its the Alt-crank belt or if its the Alt-S/C belt.
I've tried tightening up the S/C belt, but it leads to the next issue.

1a. When I tighten down the tensioner for the S/C belt, the bolt pushes retainer clip out of its channel. So the bolt just backs out of the tensioner screw. Very frustrating.

2. What did you do about mounting the E-manage and the ECU cables? Did you re-mount the ECU so the cables we're out of the way? Its only been on for a few days, soo.... I haven't even had a chance to look at options. But i can't see leaving it the way it sits now.

So far those are my only two issues.
Plan on getting some of these mysterious "colder" plugs I have read about.
Is that somthing I can get from O'Rileys or Auto Zone?
Lots of learning to do!
But overall i'm happy with the results....

Thanks in advance for your help!

1. It is definitley the charger belt. I have the same issue when its cold. Once the belt warms up, its fine. If you still have it when the belt is warm, your belt is probably too loose.

1a. Not sure if you are doing this or not, but when you tighten the adjuster bolt, make sure the nut that holds the pulley is loose. If the pulley not is not loose, the pulley wont move and that clip will pop out. I got mine REAL tight without that clip popping out.

2. My emanage was mounted in the cubby above the glove box behind a tv I had there so you couldnt see it. All the cables were routed up behind the glove box.

Thanks Stuart,

I do loosen up the pulley bolt, forgot to mention that.

I think my clip is no good. Cause i'll run it down till the clip comes loose, barely. then tighten up the Pulley bolt. Still sqeals. Even after running it for 10-20min. (warm up time?)

Thanks again for the feed back, if anyone else has an opionon. Please bring it.
I uesd the search button, and it actually worked, .... sorry.

Anyhow, a cat from FL had the same issue and it was the inside belt. So I guess i'll giver a go tonight.

Just excited to run it up to 6k, since that seems to be the high end of the power band when it was N/A.

I would definitley throw a new clip in there. It sucks to do, because that bracket is such a pain in the ___, but it will hold....

Just an update...

I feel like i'm writing this twice...

I loosend the SC belt, tightend the Alt-crank belt, and the squeal has gotten better, but still exists above 6000rpm.

So if you other SC owners read this, did you have these problems?
