Default Injen Intake issues

Ok, so I'm having a intake proplem. I installed a Injen Short Ram Intake on my automatic xB. When I'm stopped and have the engine in drive and the brake on the engine shakes pretty bad. I assume that air isn't flowing like it should for this to happen. I checked the filter and everything else and it continued to shake when at a stop. Of course, I re-installed the stock one and it all cleared right up. Anyone have any idea what it could be ?? Any help would be much appreciated.

Heath.. put it back on and reset the computer(remove the negative battery terminal or pull the proper fuse under the hood) and then let the computer relearn the intake.. Also make sure the MAF is sitting correctly on the intake. Give that a try and see what happens, I installed numerous intakes on my xB when I had it and never had an issue.

I have taken the negitive battery terminal both times I have installed it but still does the same thing. Sorry to sound stupid..but what is a MAF ? What would be the proper fuse? Sorry, I'm pretty uneducated with this stuff as you can tell.

Thanks for your help!

No worries the MAF ( Mass air flow sensor) is the black plug you take off the factory airbox and put on the new intake... It reads the amount of air going into your intake/engine.. As for the fuse here is the How To: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33062

How long did you leave the Injen intake on? Did you drive it around for awhile say 10-20 miles to let the ECU learn it?

Yeah, I drove it for about 50 miles in two days and it never clearded up.

From the link you sent I guess I should pull the fuse and reinstall the CAI and once I'm done put the fuse back in. I have to take the battery out to install the CAI because that big bastard is in the way. Should it make any difference if I take the fuse and battery out?

Once it's all reinstalled I'll let it sit at idle for a bout 5-10 minutes and then take her for a ride. Hope it works. I'm starting to get a little frustrated. Thanks for all your help.

No it wont make a difference if it is the fuse or battery, both do the same thing.. but if you pull the fuse you dont have to reset your presets and stuff on your radio.. Keep us updated on what you find out thou.

Ok, so I have went over 40 miles and numerous stops and everything seems to be running and great! I guess pulling the EFI fuse reset the ECU. I had already disconeccted the battery several times but it seems pulling t he fuse did the trick...for now!
