Location of MAF Sensor

Hi Cory, do refer to the thread. The user has the MAF sensor right after the TB down tot the intercooler. Hence, my worries as mine is exactly the same setup as his but running at 14.5PSI

Also I found out the the intake temp is much lower with the MAF sensor there at 30 to 38 degree celcius cmopare to when the MAF is after the intake filter (40 - 48 degree celcius). since the hot air has run thru the intercooler, it shld be cooled by then right b4 it enters the TB?Do corerct me if im wrong.

you should never put the MAF exposed to boosted air.

I have to disagree because the intake funnel takes in air ard the engine bay which tends to be very hot...post turbo, depending on the location of the maf..can be cooler esp after it goes thru the intercooler...tats why reading of MAF lcoated after the air funnel is significantly higher than reading of MAF located b4 the TB. My observations..just my 2 cents worth of sharing.

intercoolers help but dont make air cooler then the bay its still hot air lol

runnin the compressed air through your MAF should be fine. in your case i would not do it however since you have to use some kind of piggy back fuel system. You run the air through an IC and that will bring air temps to under 100 going in to the motor. i know im under 100 going in to the motor but i run Water/Meth. if you were going to some how reprogram the stock ECU for boost then you need either 2 things....1 you have to run a diverter valve and run MAF pre turbo or 2 if you want to use a BOV then you need to run a blow through MAF.
