i have that same duct (aluminum) tape too its fun stuff but don't really care for pealing off the backing to it p.i.t.a. and it coils up when you peel it off too...

so far after a week it's trapped about 1/2 oz of oil. i most definitely plan on going with the conceptual polymer catch can after i get the exhaust fabbed up. it was $25 for the filter, hose, and fittings and seems to be working.
