Default Other mods for s/c setup?

I'm definitely going to get the Greddy Supercharger. I understand that I would have to install an exhaust system w/ wider pipes and sparks that are 1 degree colder (am i even correct?).

I would like to know what other modifications are essential in having a proper supercharged setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All I have is an Injen CAI.

Oh hey, are you the guy that did the header-back write up? Is that a completely custom system?

Yes sir thats me, and completly custom from header back. I would say if your going F/I you'll want to get a header, light weight pulley, new clutch and maybe flywheel, you can do a lot of things to add more hp. Hope this helps, i mstill searching for idea's myself.

I've got the Blitz SC, Injen CAI, DC Sport headers, and Borla twice pipes. Everything lined up pretty well and bolted in the stock locations without an majors mods. All "bolt-ons". The Blitz SC did require that I get a new a/c line made to route around it and had to add an oil catch can for oil blow-by and had to alter the engine dress up piece for SC.

OdBox i think we are all trying to figure out what precautions to take so as not blow the motor, that is the biggest question we all want answered. But i will say good engine maitnance, synthetic oil, and not to to much boost will help keep the engine alive. If you find out any other good ideas please share them with me.

Just a thought is to run only super premuim gas(Higher Octane=less likely hood for heat detonation), install a boost gauge, and a wide band A/F Gauge (to keep an eye on the fuel ratio), in the case of the Greddy kit, find a shop that tunes the E-manage and have them tune it for your area. That E-manage is tuned to run anywhere from Alaska to Florida and every where inbetweeen, so it's a REALLLY mild tune.

ha. oh okay. Did you do alot of research on that exhaust before you bought it? Also, how wide are the pipes?

Sorry for all the questions. i just want the absolute best exhaust system for a supercharged setup.

A colder spark plug prevents detonation, hotter spark will ignite possible blowby gas. Cold spark settles the idle and ensures the mixture is ignited evenly... Always a staple in the world of Forced Induction.

I also have the same thing with auto but I went with 2 stage colder because it was still knocking a little bit with 1 stage, and ran a colder TRD thermostat and 91 octane gas.

Not a bad idea really.... really you should be fine with 1 step colder and high octane gas.. you have to run high octane on all boosted apps. It's a requirement actually...

Is it running good? The knocking is not a good sign... What brand of plug you using?
