Well, I dont want to be the bearer of bad news for your bro, but I dont think you are going to get much out of this.... I would just go get your car, have someone local fix it and suck it up.

Regardless of what Kenny at ZPI told you he could do, if he sold his business and states that the new owners are going to finish projects and such, thats what happens. If the new owners feel its over their head, thats up to them. But legally, Kenny can just walk away with no recourse from you. You cant attack him personally, only his business and if he sold it, then you have nothing.

I hope you can at least get your car back and salvage at least some of it, but from a business owner and legal standpoint, I think thats all your going to get... You should be able to get your money back though that you have invested in this part of the project.

no joke, sorry fusion i hope the best for you!
if you can get your xB back in atleast the condision it left. you could get your hands on a new trany and have it sent to Bull Dog transmissions and put it through thier cold freeze process and increase it's strength by 27-33%. they are reputable company and it would help out a bit with our weak tranys.

i found out about them about two months ago. knew then that when the amount of added power would break the axels when people started pushing the 200-220 mark at the wheels then it would be obviouse that the trany would be suffering greatly even before that point.

seems now going back and searching him up and looking at some recent forum posts on other forum boards that his products and words have gone to ****. there is another place called "Pro-Built" that have a rather nice reputation with the muscle car people and the way i see it, a trans is a trans and i'm sure they could help beef our C150 up a bit.

do you know at all what blew in your trans? was it a gear or was it something else? the reason i ask is to see whats blowing and whats taking the stress.

winter... this is what happened..... i was with my ex g/f on our way to "the shop" where we all party... put it in reverse to back outta the driveway... start going, and put her into first to start the drive and BLAMMMM... i hear a really loud pop... i was like wtf.. try to go again and i hear a metal grinding noise.... knew this wasnt good so i pull it back into the driveway to see some beautiful fluid pouring from under the car....

my first thoughts were that i blew the motor... but soon realized that it was tranny fluid... sad story from there on...

another idea that you could try doing. if you can find a C52 trany, you could swap that in. you'd have slightly longer gears and a much stronger trany. they are used on the Toyota Starlet and i've seen some with 500+whp with the stock trany on a heavely abused track car.

on the EA82 i think is the model that has the trany thats swapable. it's used on the 4AGE and 3SGTE so i'm pretty sure it'll bolt to the 1NZFE or the tC's motor.

Well, that's quite unfortunate. Living in Kentucky, I had heard rumors of the build in the ZPI shop from the scion guys around here. It's a shame it ended up this way. Hopefully you get your car back.

I think he and everyone else will eventually get there money and or stuff back (no thanks to Kenny). The bad part is the time it will take and the stress it causes especially if you are without your car (I know first hand).
