so...uhm...out of curiosity...how much did you save using those tsx injectors instead of buying one that will fit your engine in the first place?

$349.00 from zpi?

i hate to nag, but that is the price you pay when you cheap out and don't do things right the first time. you sacrificed your xa to save a few bucks. and if this had happened at a worse time, and you or someone else could have been seriously hurt.

No sir, it was not my idea.

He had the injectors already so he tried to make them work.

Sorry to see another flamer.
Let us hope they do cover it and not give you a problem about the mods you had done to it. they could claim it was really your fault in putting in the "wrong' parts.( I do investigations into this type of thing so I know I would look at it closer with non-OEM parts installed)

best of luck to you.

Sorry to see your xA go down like that.

My xA burned to the ground a couple of months ago, so I know how you feel. I had a lot of mods, too.

I have pics, but I haven't posted anything about it, yet. I'm working on the new xA now.

You'd better hurry if you want a new xA, there aren't many left on the dealers' lots.

This creeps me out. My car had the fuel line come loose at the firewall about 2 weeks ago. It dumped fuel all over the exhaust headers.... I am damn lucky, I hope your insurance company comes through.

UPDATE:

i never did come back and tell you guys the cause of the fire.

it wasnt the injectors.

but it was my fault, i didnt run an EGT sensor into the manifold and it was leaking exhaust right onto the factory fuel line. melted it, backfire, and poof!

i forgot about the EGT bung on the mani. thats where i faulted.. oh well, i ended up having GAP coverage and they took care of the 3000 that i owed on the rest of the car.

I was also wondering why the thread got bumped... glad you figured it out. What are you driving now?
