Remove the upper tie bar... With that out of the way, gives you all the room you need. I dont think you could put it on without removing it.

The hardest part of the install, I thought, was the stupid tension bracket for the supercharger belt. But thats why I left it together for ya... ;)

thanks, im sure that will speed the install, i noticed the tension bracket was the only part of the kit that you really had to put together, seein as how you left that assembled it looks like its going to be a 4 hour job tops.... did you replace the dowel on the crankshaft pulley, or did the stock one hold up? is there any trick to removing the alternator pulley?

I replaced the dowel pin after I sheared it on the dyno. As for the alternator pulley, I just took the alternator off and used an impact gun. Spun the nut loose and then just pulled the pulley off. Its pretty simple....

thats right, i forgot you were the one who sheared it on the dyno, what did you end up replacing it with, just a hardened drill bit? i was thinking of getting a forged steel dowel made. did you use an engine dampener? BTW, what was it like driving a 5spd box with the SC on it?

Well, when I sheared it at the dyno, I just threw in another roll pin to get it back to the shop. I then had a friend get me a hardened pin from his machine shop. I hadnt had a problem after that. It was awesome driving the box with the charger on it. It ran great, pulled real hard and was a blast to drive....

nice, im really looking forward to throwing it on when i get home in a month.... off topic, i noticed in one of your pics that you ran 3 2 5/8th inch autometer phantom gauges on your dash. how did you like the look of the 2 5/8 gauge, im thinking about going with 3 2 1/16th phantoms, air/fuel, boost, and oil pressure.... just curious as to what you feel is the best size for that space, do you think 2 1/16th will be too small?

I thought the larger gauges fit the area better. The smaller gauges might be a little funny in there. But thats just my opinion.

ah, one last question... for now anyways.... i know that you were/are running larger injectors, rail, and a return system... did you ever run this kit with the factory fuel system, do you think i will run into any problems leaning out?

You wont have any problems leaning out. With the charger, I was running the factory injectors... So the rail and the return system didnt make much of a difference. You will be all set. But you may want to pick up a wideband, just to be sure.. But my A/F's were always very safe.
