Hence the need to rewrite the code IN the ECU so it does not modify itself back to stock configurations.

Just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be. To this day nobody has done anything with a favorable ECU program that I know of .

ZPI is already doing this. They told me it's 9.1 compression so it's a lot lower than stock.

Supra and MR2 owners would have done this years ago if its possible...you obviously arent that educated with toyota's(not trying to put you down). Good luck trying to crack Toyota's Pandoras box over there...not gonna happen because it is soo heavily encrypted. Even if you were able to change some of the values, it would not be enough...there are soo many strings of codes on the ECU and that is what makes it soo hard.

Actually...hence the need to rewire your car with the echo ecu because it doesn't have the same problems the xB does.

Nice call Brad.

if the ech ecu does not have the same self correcting ability as the xb and xa ecu, will it work in the xa or xb system, and if it will is it possible to reprogram it like boogie said? or is the code as encripted as the other ecu's listed? not very good on the electronics side of this so i figured i would ask.
