Hey guys I have been getting this weird noise from my engine bay whenever I go over a bump of any kind 99 percent sure its from the engine bay and have no idea what it is have checked everything and haven't been able to figure out what it is, nothing seems to be loose and can't figure it out! any ideas or advice?

 

Did you check the top of the front struts?? Theres a single nut there that holds em down, came loose on mine a while back, made a noise everytime i went over a bump as well. Only thing i can think of right now off the top of my head.....

I had the same noise drove me nuts! Turned out to be a pair of pliers stuck between the fender and the plastic inner fender..only happened over bumps. Not my pliers either! Easy fix though..struts were the first thing I check as well.

 

Define noise... I know I has a problem where the header-downpipe wasnt tight and it made a banging noise when I hit a bump.

 

ya kinda sounds like that I had to adjust the flange a little but but I have been under it and shaken it a little and seems to be tight

 

yea but a 14mm socket on a nice long extention never hurts

 

only problem is that I did that and the noise is still there, still at a loss

 

i bet it is your air intake that is what it was for me ha

 

na it can't be the intake the if you look at my set up its all secured

 

hm yeah id say that is weird, ha that has to be hard narrowing it down when it only happens when you drive
