Default xa turbo kit interest thread

Just curious on how many xA owners are still interested in a turbo kit.

I recently got my hands on another xA and made allot of changes from the previous kit I offered.

New turbo, new intercooler pipe routing. easier installation etc.

If there is any interest at all ( 1 or 2) I am thinking of jigging the parts and offering the kit.

Regards-

Todd

PS- picts to come

Not soon, but 2 years down the road I will have the cash for a good turbo kit.

Does the kit run cooler and more reliably? ..since the turbo seems to be better if ya changed it

[quote]What turbo did you switch to?

Used the GT2252 on this particular setup.

But for those wanting as much power as they can get the GT2554R is still an option.

Changed the IC, ICP and DP as well.

Standard ic core, no more vertical core. Better ICP routing, way easier to install.

DP is still 2.5" but is allot longer than before.

Picts coming soon. Just waiting for the customers ok.

Todd

Interesting... I finally got around all the charged pipe problems with the vertical flow so I'm happy with that. The only thing I MUST have is the longer downpipe. The original one that came with the kit constantly hit the front sway bar when the engine vibrated during hard pulling. If the downpipe was longer this wouldn't be an issue.

The BIG problem is that the constant banging on the sway bar cause force on the header, which in turn causes the header to crack at the welds when its above 1000 degrees.

Ive had a hell of time with that dam design flaw!! Ive had to fix my original header twice and I currently purchased a new header from cbeleieu who happened to still have his old kit (he no longer has an xA and sold me the whole kit minus turbo and blowoff for $500.00).

Heres the thing, I have another original downpipe with 500 miles on it which is in PERFECT conditions, do you think there is ANY way you could help me out with a discount or exchange?? Remember this is a design flaw on this kit and its really starting to PI$$ me off. Please help me out!!!

I could send you the downpipe and lets see if we can work something out. What do you think??

Will have some more info/picts of the kit here shortly.

Its the first xA with an FIC and the tuners and AEM are having fun with it.

Mr. Sosa....

Im not ignoring you.....but short but sweet:

this kit is using the GT22, I havent done the new setup for the GT2554 yet. So until I do (wont have that car until late July) I do not have a new dp that will work with your setup at this particular time. The GT22 and Gt2554 do not have the same placement (different manifolds ie turbine flange placement)

Regards-

Todd
