I don't see many track times from ZPI.. After their 12.1 close to a year ago I haven't heard anything about track times.

I'm sorry but there is no way an automatic xB with a turbo is going to pull on a C5.

For a guy crying over 1/4 mile times... why do you have your 1/8 mile posted?

(year make model 0-60 1/4)
1997 Chevrolet Corvette 4.7 13.3
1998 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 5.1 13.5
1999 Chevrolet Corvette Hardtop 4.8 13.3
2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5-R 3.5 10.3
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 4.6 13.0
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 4.8 13.1

xB Curb Weight AT 2470 LBS

Mazda Speed Miata :
Engine 1.8L/178-hp turbocharged I-4, DOHC, 4 valves/cyl
0-60 mph, sec 6.2
1/4 mile,sec @ mph 14.59 @ 93.78
Curb weight 2529 LBS

If a Turboed xB is putting down around the same amount of power, don't ya think it could give a Vette a run?

Oh and here is some funny reads

I'd like to see some type of numbers on the xb, 1/8th or 1/4, it doesn't matter.

I'm not sure how else to respond to this post.. You have some ET times for different model C5's, with no trap speeds then some worthless information about a mazda miata.

I don't not think a car hitting 14.5's @ 93 would even be close to a C5. A tC with bolt-on's will trap 91-92, so a 93-94 really isn't saying much. Even the turbo xB should be trapping higher then that.

Then you have to take in to consideration that the numbers you just quoted are from a well geared manual miata, not a automatic transmition that was made for gas economy.

Screw whether it did, or did not, in fact take a corvette... it's a dang fast box and could school your tC in a heartbeat

To me... that's pretty nifty!

The back and forth did it do it or not, how fast technically two cars are, blah, blah, blah... it would never be resolved until a video of the two cars at a heads up race at a track would be posted... You pay for the time to do it and I'm sure someone will take you up on it... Until then, be doubtful, and we'll still watch a fast little box run around.

Beating a tC with bolt-on's is alot different then beating a C5. Not even close to the same league..

I doubt it would even beat me by much.. What's an automatic xB run stock? 17 second quarter mile? With a turbo at 7.5PSI I couldn't see it being much faster then a tC with bolt-on's.

Buy a new one and find away with ZPI to make stronger ones.

I have a turbo timer that does 1/4 mile times...as soon as i can figure out how it works I will do some times on it. :D

Fantastic looking Billy! Thanks for sticking it out. You seem to be in the ZPI loop some... Last I read they had several kits made up and were waiting out some R&D with yours prior to selling/shipping. Any idea when us guys that put a deposit down "X" months ago should be hearing from them? Will we be hearing at all or will we have to initiate the deal? Any help or getting those guys these questions will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance and get us a video when you have time!

Will do and I will check for you.. I would say they are still fine tuning a few things... they want realiabity and perfection over speediness.. But I will let them know your questions.

I want to see that baby on a 1/4 mile!!!! it'd be cool just to catch the faces of the people watching it too!

And, I agree that if you don't have the cash for the T/C in the first place, all the supporting mods and such will be overwhelming over time... be conservative...
