Hey all,

I own an 04 xB. This is my second xB, i had a 2005 before this.

My dilemma is that for some reason the radio in the 2004 does not want to go into programming mode so i can change the display text.

I did this process countless times in my 2005 xB. What is the problem? Was the display on the 2004s not customizable??

I believe the process is different from 2004 to 2005 head units.
Make sure you're following the instructions according to year model

 

2004 has very VERY (or not even available) programming function for the HU's. i have a 2004, and believe me, i've tried doing the easter eggs, but they just don't work for 2004's. they really only applied to 2005 and on. if you search " easter egg " you'll find lots of stuff i'm sure. it sucks that we get the shaft on this one... oh well...

 

no programming option on the 2004 hu model, only 05 and up.... we got assed out...
