06 Ipod and Sirius question
Anyone know if the IPOD controler on the 06 is a real pioneer ipod controller? I sure hope it is and I think its pretty much got to be.
If its a real ipod controller then I can take a pioneer sirius controller and link them together. Has anyone done this or know if its possible?
Sorry I searched and was just getting a lot of different details and not really an answer to this question. Thanks.

The way they work on any pioneer radio is that you link the sirius box to the ipod box via the in and out port and then you control the sirius as well via the head unit same as you do the ipod. With all the ID3 info and all.
I assume, and so does some radio guys I asked, it will work the same on the scion pioneer just would like to confirm it before I go spend 99.00 for the box hehe.
If no on knows then I guess Ill be able to tell everyone soon enough.

I know the stock raido does not, im talking about the 260.00 upgraded ipod radio.
Its got to have some kind of ibus for it to connect.
Has anyone seen the box? Is there not an input and output like on the pioneer one? Hmm I dont get my car until thursday or friday so I cant look.

No, the ipod input is next to the AUX input in the center console. I will have that installed tomorrow but I don't have an ipod yet so i won't be 100% sure how it works. I will take a look at the manual and see what it says.

Yeah what he said, when you get the IPOD option for 260 bucks you get a pure IPOD connection port. You will also have the aux port. Granted I can take my starmate and plug it in via the aux port but I would rather see what I can get to work via the head unit.
People keep getting the aux port and the ipod port confused. Its two different plugs.
