This is a deep switch and an odd size. Is there an aftermarket switch that will fit in there flush with the top of the center console?? I'm talking about the blank in front of the AUX/Ipod connection.

presuming its the same size as the ones in the xB... try lowes.. GSW-45 or somthing like that... figure they make lots of the parts kinda interchangable for the xA/xB... that may work....

**i'm just guessing... havent seen a pic/or actual location your talkin about in a xA**

 

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what the center console on the xB looks like but that switch is too big. Althought that switch fits perfectly in the dash. The one in the center console is deep....maybe 1/4" to 3/8" deep. As you can see in this pic




the switch doesn't fit flush with the top of the console. I guess I'll call the dealer and see how much they want.

 

ah... well was worth a shot..... like i said.. i was guessing...since i've never seen the actual location you were talking about till you posted the pics....

Thanks kkawana. I called the dealer and they said that location was for the cup/ill. switch. He didn't show it as a separate item for the 06's but could get it for the 05 for a whoopping $48.00! He wasn't sure if it would fit the 06's either. Soooo....I'll swap out what I got (that shows in the pics) for a small round one and drill out the blank/cover.
