I bought a Sirius tuner from a user on this site... I plugged it in, put the antenna on the roof, and I get the SAT option on the HU, but no signal. It starts on 184 (the preview channel, I've had Sirius before) and no signal is coming through.... my question...

With a Sirius tuner in previous non-Scion vehicles, I got a signal on the preview channel, 184. With this tuner, I get nothing.

For you Sirius savvy folks.... is the tuner bad? Does the Sirius tuner from an older xB not work with the 06 model? Also, does it need to be activated? I'm not sure about the activation part, because the free preview channel should work... at least in my opinion.

Or... since this unit was used, and may have expired, does it die completely until re-activated????

Well, I give up. Got the account switched over, but, still no dice. It's all connected.

Just a warning- be sure that stuff will actually work before you buy from people online, especially non-feedback based buying. Anyway, I won't drop names, because I don't think it was intentional, but the seller didn't offer my money back.. I'm cool with sold as is, but anyway- lesson learned.
