15" JBL SUB
Hello,
I have a JBL 15" GT series 1000 watt sub that i'm putting in my xB. My friend says the box needs to be 16"x16x16 but this will take up over half my cargo space. Does anyone no if a smaller box will still pound? Yes I know I shouldn't use a sub that big but I had it in my basement new in box and have no cash for anything else. Any input would be appreciated.
Peace
J

Yea it will "pound" but it will sound like dog poo knocking on your windows. You have to realize with a sub that big your going to need a large box.
Just out of curiousity why did you get a 15 to begin with?

it was bigger... I tried a sealed box, but 4 me nothing beats the bass of a ported box... my thought.... and you are right... prob the damn thing grew on me and I dont see it as big as you would.
