Default 2005 xB standard equipment

Hi ALL:

I just purchased a 2005 xB with 2 keys only. Anyone here knows that if the "Keyless entry" is a standard equipment for 2005xB or not? If it is, which remote will work on 2005 xB: the one on ebay with FCC ID: HYQ12BBX or the one from Scion Dealer with part # 09742-52010?? Thanks

The back of my remote has that same FCC ID. I do not know the part #

When you get it, you will need to program it. It requires no tools, just a bunch of simple steps like turning the key and opening the door. There are instructions in the tech section.

They sell the remote fobs all over ebay, and I think scionsport.com which is now ssuperstore.com might have them too. And like max said there is a DIY in the tech section. I miss Canada, well except for rush hour traffic and the prices. . .ha ha ha.

When I got my car I did not know it had remote entry fobs. I found them in the storage compartment with the tools in the back of the car about a couple of months later. They were zip tied to something in that compartment.

Yup. As already said, the 2005 came with three keys and two remotes. Those remotes should have a part number of 89742-52010- per the parts fiche, and an FCC ID of HYQ12BBX according to the back of my remote...

Welcome to the family! :D
