Not sure what you mean by issues.

As long as you run all the wires correctly, you're set. Get an amp w/ high level inputs or get an LOC to hook it up if you don't plan on getting an aftermarket HU.

There's a walkthrough in my sig for how to gut/wire a tC.

Line out converter, turns the higher volume that your speakers get into a low volume that your amp can use to amplify the music. It will tap into one or both rear speakers and then your amp connects to it using RCA cables.

Weird question, I understand how the line out converter works. On an amp I used to have, I had to wire a 12v from my HU to the amp for the amp to turn on. What have you guys done in this situation? 12v source to a switch or t tap it off of a 12v line from the HU?

It's pretty much the same thing since the HU should have a button to turn the amp on and off. My sub amp has a normal switch to the left of the steering wheel and my speaker amp will be connected to the HU.
