I purchased a 2006 xB the window sticker says it has the basic am/fm cd radio but the car actually has the pioneer T1805 6 disc changer radio !! the manual that came with the car is for the standard radio. The car has the AUX jack in the console between the seats but no AUX button on the radio !! I am trying to use a portable XM Sat unit plugged in thru the AUX but can't. I also can not find this radio as availible on a 2006. Did the dealer pull one on me ?

 

The easiest way to tell if your head unit is a pre-2006 is by the volume control. The 2006's have a ****, pre-2006 have volume control buttons. No aux button on the head unit sounds a little suspicious maybe too. Anyway, I can't remember for sure, but it seems to me that 6-disc changer was no longer an option for 2006. Can't be too sure on that one, though. I have an 06 xB and I have the single disc head unit and it has an aux button. Hope this helps.
