I search everywhere but no help. I sold my 6 disc changer yesterday, and the guy that bought it hooked it up and is getting error 3 displayed. It should have been a direct plug in to the old stock wiring, any ideas?

 

could be a bad cd or the cd\'s are in the caridge backwards .. could be the way he has it mounted.. he could of dropped it.. pinched the data wire

Hope this helps. I guess they will just replace the deck if they see that error.

i didnt drop it, didnt even have a chance to put cd's in it, didnt pinch any wires, i really dont think there is any other way you can mount the thing so yea...

and i have nothing against crispy hes being very helpful with all this

sometimes crap just stops workin

im takin it in to the dealership today and the guy said he just has to see the error code before he orders me a new one

 

yeah, i have had error 3 and 4 come up on my 04 change sometimes, though i haven't taken it to the dealer yet, as it just might be a hassle for me. and plus, they have to get it to do the error before they will even start thinking about replacing the unit. soo ... is it worth it ? dunno ...
