802.11b omni-directional antenna..what brand?
I'm installing a nice computer setup in my xB,
and want to install an omni-directional antenna that will
interface with my laptops wireless NIC card (orinoco gold classic)
I've seen just about 3 billion different antenna's, but don't
know which would be best for my needs.
I'm looking for something that will give me REALLY good range,
and provide a decent signal/low noise...
Anyone got any suggestions about type/brand? links to sites, etc??
Thanks,
Jason

Guys guys guys!! read!!!
I've ALREADY got all the hardware needed, I'm LOOKING for recommendations on EXTERNAL ANTENNA'S...I know some people on this site have already installed computer systems in their cars, and I wanted to get a good census of what brand antenna was best for their needs....

Go to http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/ant...0_out_omni.php for all of your 2.4Ghz Omnidirectional antennas. They even have mobile 2.4Ghz Omni antennas.

I've had very good luck with the Buffalotech.com antennas. I use their PCI cards because they were one of the first with external antenna connectors. Also they were one of the first companies to offer wireless cards. I think they have a 14dB gain omni for like $110 It's ugly but what do you expect

there's a 12 dB gain omni that you can possibly pass off as the stock antenna? I pulled it from a review that had good things to say about it...
okay, well maybe not at 31.5" but damn, hrm, gives me ideas for my setup..
