Ok...I picked up my box a few days ago and I got the dealer installed amber illumination. However, I didn't know it was for the front (and cup holders) only and I'd like to add some to the back of my driver and passenger seats.

Can I simply buy another led tube like the one that's already installed (and if so, where) and splice some wires to power it off the dealer install?

I haven't gotten under the dash to see how the LEDs are wired yet, but I'm guessing that I can just tap the wires that are there and run a new pair to the rear seats.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

 

really? i have the dealer illumination (bought my box used), and it has illumination for front and back .... ask your dealer again, maybe they ripped you off ...

 

Scion changed the kits for '06.

Prior to '06 interior illumination consisted of front driver/passenger (under dash) and rear driver/passenger (under front seats).

For '06, interiror illumination consists of front driver/passenger (under dash) and cupholders.

Personally, I like the pre-06 kits better and would rather of had the front/rear illumination as opposed to the cup holders.
