Aftermarket Steering Wheel Hub Questions
I've read dozens of threads on this as well as looked at manufacturers websites and still can't find all the info I'm looking for. I'm considering installing an aftermarket steering wheel setup for the primary purpose of pushing the wheel out several inches (3-4), while still maintaing horn and turn signal disengagement functions.
Can anyone help fill in the blanks in my information below, or correct if wrong? Thanks.
NRG short hub = ~1.75in. length (can retain horn, can't retain turn signal disengage function without modifying the black ring inside the steering column, will need (2) 3 ohm resistors to cancel airbag light)
NRG quick release = ~3in length
Momo hub = ??? inches length, can retain horn and clearance allows for turn signal disengage function, comes with only one 3ohm resistor so an additional resistor will need to be purchased to cancel airbag light
Sparco hub = ??? inches length, can retain horn, what about turn signal disengage and air bag light cancel?
Other hubs = ??
What combination of hub/quick release/wheel(deep dish or not) will accomlish my goal? I like the look of the NRG setup better than the Momo or Sparco, but not sure I want to mod the ring in the steering column in order to retain turn signal disengage. So, I'm leaning toward the Momo hub, but since I'm unsure of the length I don't know if I will need to add a deep dish wheel, or quick release, or a spacer in order to get the length I'm looking for. I would like to order the right stuff the first time.
**I'm aware of the fact that I won't have an airbag, and I'm aware of the steps necessary for safe airbag removal. I'm also aware of possible insurance issues, so this might not even happen depending on what my insurance tells me.**
Thanks for any input or recommendations.

I ended up getting the momo hub, with nrg quick release and nrg deep dish wheel. The momo hub only comes with one resistor for the airbag light cancel, though 2 were needed. I used (2) 3 ohm - 1 watt resistors and just plugged them into the airbag harnesses and secured with electrical tape. The following DIY is what I looked at for reference:

You can also do it the following way if you don't plan on keeping the spiral assembly (turn signal cancel and VSC on the xB) or don't want to use the airbag harnesses:

Also, I had to modify the momo hub because the hole in the hub that allows for the spiral assembly harness plug wasn't the right shape (maybe cuz I have an 06? with steering wheel radio controls?). Here is the fix I referenced for that...involves about 20-30 minutes of filing away at the hole in the hub.
