Default Alarm going off by itself.

OK, this is a strange one to me. I think my box is possessed.
I have my box in the garage and early this morning the alarm was going off and lighting the entire garage like a topless bar on steroids (due to the HIDs installed). So I go out there and hit the lower button on the remote and the alarm was not disarming, so I tried the top one, still nothing, then the lower one again and after several press of the button, the alarm finally disarms. So I leave the car disarmed and was awakened again a few hours later with the alarm going off and repeated the same steps above to disarm it.

The car is completely stock except for the HIDs, I'm concerned about taking it to the dealer with the HIDs still on the car for them to find them and give me a reason to void the warranty. There are no animals in the garage, and no one bumped into it,

Which button is supposed to disarm the alarm? Either my remote is not working right or the alarm is not picking it up but I have to hit the buttons several times to get it to shut up. Also, my little Rat Terrier can set off the alarm just barely moving around inside the car when it is locked. Thanks.

What kind of alarm do you have?

How are the batteries in your remotes? They can sometimes cause the alarm to go off. It's rare but I've seen it happen.

Default Found the little devil

Well I think I found the little devil setting off my alarm. I found my cell phone was left in it overnight, still on, and two missed calls right at the time the alarm was going off. Talk about a phone ringer. Lol
Never thought a phone ring was all it took to set off a factory alarm. Oh well problem solved. Thanks anyways.

If that's the case, I would turn the sensitivity down.

I have a low budget alarm (Bulldog) that works off motion and/or current draw (dome light). It seems that the fuel pump comes on momentarily about 8 hours after you shut your car off for some sort of fuel leakage test. this will set my alarm off in the middle of the night.
