Default alarm pro question

How long does it take a pro to install an alarm in the Xb? I did my own and it took me 8 hours from start to finish including prep and clean-up. The alarm is a 2 way pager/remote start/ setup.

The guy who installed mine took...about an hour to install the alarm..from start to finish. We were talking to each other, though...so the install was less. He's one of those traveling installers..so he has to be fast enough. He tested the wires, wrote ____ down, then installed. Installation included soldering, taping up the wires, hiding the box, etc...

Yeah it took me about an hour also with my remotestart alarm install. Basically all toyota's and honda's are pretty easy to do....esp. toyota's cause you can get most of your wires arounf the fuse panel.

Nick, thing to remember, theses guys are profesional installers, the scion alarm doesn't offer anywhere near the features you alarm has, You have door triggers two stage shock sensor, starter kill, fm 2 way pager, remote start, heberts alarm has all those but huberts been in the biz a long time like me, I t takes me about 2 hours to 2,5 depending how much cuento making I do. But none the less you did it and you did a good job and didn't have to call for help, You called me to tell me you were done. know you have an alarm that is equivelent to any name brand at a 1\3 the cost amd the satifaction you did it yourself, if you start doing more , you will be down to 2 hours in no time. Also you got that way cool Scion Specialties shirt (gabe taught that move)Thanks again, Bill

LOL I forgot to mention that I am an installer by trade. Thanks bill. As for DIY alarm with a minimal know how on 12volt install with soldering or crimp would prolly take anywhere from 3-6hrs. Just make sure your connection are solid and clean and you shouldn't go wrong take you time

the fastest CLEAN job i have done was 45 minutes which included 2 door actuators remote start, and hood and trunk pin ... I generally try to spend 2 - 4 hours on a customers car for a a basic/larm remote start... Any less and you would lose quality on install, anymore and you would lose money...
