I'd Prefer Focals, The shop where I work at doesn't sell them though , we sell mb quart, as our "high end" line. Most of our customers are very demanding on thier equipment, less sound quality more sound. Diamonds sound awesome, but don't hold up to hip hop/dance music very well when cranked. Alpine doens't like getting too much power thrown at them, although they ake nice Source Units. Rockford Components IMHO Price Vs SQ are awesome, that's either the power line or Team Rf line that is... the punch line Rockfords are mediocre. I wouldn't reccomend their ources

To sum it up
Loud - RF
Clarity - Focal

focal
cdt (personal prefrence)
diamond
a/d/s

these are all good speakers

but everyone has a different taste for how trhey want the music to sound

the best advice i ever gotten was don't buy a speaker just for the name...take your time and find places that carry the model/brands you want to hear....go and listen to some music that you listen to on a normal day keep doing this until you find a speaker set that fits your needs...look at the specs also they will hint to which brands you should be looking at

Well...

As for Highs/Mids I currently run some MB Quarts, Diamonds, and Memphis M-Class components in my cars. Thus far I am very pleased with the Memphis M-Class components. I am very clear about the M-Class line though because I would not recommend other Memphis speakers over MB Quart or Diamonds. I have been very pleased with both MB Quart and Diamonds performance, however the Diamonds lack at some high power/volume peaks.

As for Amplifiers I run both Crossfire and Memphis M-Class again. Memphis Amplifiers are very clean and I speak very highly of them. However, Crossfire is no slouch. I would personally probably recommend Crossfrire for getting more power out of their Amp but Memphis when it comes to subtle quality differences.

As for subs I must say hands down, Crossfire subs rock. I currently run 2 of their BMF 12"s and am very pleased with their performance. I run 500 watts to each of them off of a Crossfire 1000 D amp and they are awesome. Memphis also makes some very good subs, I run one of their 10"s and it sounds very clean as well.

So I guess to your sort of generic question I suggest:

Crossfire, Memphis (M-Class), or MB Quart for your various car stereo needs.

one80ikyu, How is the charging system holding up? I have yet to start on my system design, and just had a few questions...

When I bought my original head unit monitor and navigation, i prefered Alpine. Now I prefer Pioneer's systems, especially the AVIC-N1. That's awesome. My Pioneer deck is awesome and looks sweet. When going for my surround sound, pioneer was there with its nice stuff. My mids, highs, amps, subs, 15 farad capacitor, wiring, and distribution is all Phoenix Gold Titanium stuff, their top of the line. Those of you who've heard it should respond here. It sounds clear as a bell, and the pioneer processors let you go from mild to wild with a few button pushes.

The shop I had my work done at does tons of Porsche installs. They usually use Focal speakers and Audison amps, as they are small amps and hide nicely in those tiny trunks. They both sound really nice. Focals dont want too much power, while my PG components can handle 300w rms. I think the Utopias want around 100?, something like that. My headrests are Accelevisions. I like the picture alot, especially from a smaller screen. The dropdown I want to get my be an Audiovox, although I'd like to get an Accelevision just to keep all the same brand. But who knows, I may just go cheap, it's not like I'm watching it or anything.
