Default Am I wiring this right?

I bought a Kenwood KAC-X621 amp (link) and a Pioneer sub. The sub is 600 watts total (300 watts RMS) and has 2 4ohm coils. The amp details says:
Power Output at 2 Ohms, at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.5% THD): 300 Watts x 2

So I can put out 300 watts per channel if I have a 2ohm load at the amp, right? Looking at rockford's wiring diagram, I can wire it like this (wiring option #1) and I should have everything wired properly, right?

- Bridged Power Output at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.5% THD): 600 Watts x 1

is actually would you would be getting. Having both voice coils wired in this matter makes the amp see it as one big 2ohm speaker instead of two little 4ohm speakers.

- Power Output at 2 Ohms, at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.5% THD): 300 Watts x 2

is if you have 2, 2ohm loads. So if you had TWO of those pioneer subs this is how it would run. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this!

Based on Rockford's diagram, if I were to wire it as diagram #1, the amp would see it as one 2ohm sub, right?

If I'm wrong, please tell me how I would wire the sub or if need be, get another sub that's compatible with my amp.

Based on Rockford's diagram, Diagram #1, the amp WILL see it as one 2ohm sub. Correct. This is works great as long as your amp is 2ohm stable. Which that kenwood is!

I find Crutchfields site to have some useful info for wiring subs as well, just an FYI.
