Default another oil pressue gauge prob

Ok so im going crazy with this gauge thing right now
It has power and turns on etc just wont read pressure

so far these r my steps

1 Remove and unplug stock oil sensor
2 screw on glowshift oil sensor unit
3 Cut off plug from stock sensor unit and splice with sender wire going to gauge
4 connect to WR side of sender unit
5 Make ground connection to frame
6 crimp and connect ground to G on sender unit

I did all that then tryd to start the car It didnt turn over.. I try to problem solve and trouble shoot no luck so i wanted to get the car running for work so

1 Removed wire connections
2 removed glowshift oil sender unit and put on stock oil sender unit
3 Reconnect the gray plastic plug on the back of the wire coming off the sender unit and re plug in... At this point everything is back to norm and the car still wont start..

I was going off this DIY till i read through and saw the guy couldnt get his to work either

What wire connects to the power on th glowshift oil sender?

So I remove the stock sender or have to keep on on some how?

Why won't the car start once everything is removed and put right back to how it was?

I really don't care at this point about the gauge working.. I just need my daily driver to start. I'm having to borrow my roommates car to get to work today.. never would have thought a simple ___ install would turn into this

May be you shorted something out while playing with the gauge. Check all underdash and underhood fuses.
