scarry stuff here!, I just finished pumping my gas and screwed the top on and then the I got shocked closing the lid! Freaked me out ! what if I got shocked while I was pumping! I am buying one now!!

 

You're DAMN lucky. Static fires are getting bad nowadays at the gas pump.

I bought mine for $14.99 plus CA tax (7.75%) total was $16.15. They have a dozen different ones starting at $8.99.

here's a pic of the one I got. the clear glass has a bulb inside which lights when contacted with a static source. don't know if it works yet because i got it yesterday and ever since then our humidity level has increased. so no static problems as of yet.
