Im lookin to pick up an in dash cd/ dvd/ gps/ ipod ready head unit.....anyone know which is a good one for a reasonable price? I have an aux jack but no ipod jack....if i get a headunit with "ipod ready" will i be able to use the steering controls?

 

If you want to use the steering controls, first take a look at the PAC modules you can get. They have them on Crutchfield. From there, you need to figure out which units will work with the stereo you want to use. Then, and only then, will you be able to use the iPod interface control with your steering wheel controls.

Are you looking into sound quality, how loud it will get, or just aftermarket curious?

 

....um.....i dont know about any of this stuff..... whats PAC ?..... im not going for competition loud....what i wanted to do was have gps, cd, dvd, and be able to use my ipod.....i just dont know which ones are good? which ones will fit an 06 xb? if i can even use the steering controls....i guess i want to know what oter people have and the options that come on theirs....

right now im deciding between the kenwood kvt-514 or the eclipse avn-52d combo package.
they are around the same price $500.00 but the eclipse comes with nav and the kenwood dosnt.
