I have made a few of these now for XB owners and thought I'd see if anyone was interested in a subwoofer box for the 1st gen XB. It fits under the passenger seat and houses a 12" subwoofer. Yes, it does use the rear portion of the floor board also.

I can post pics if people are interested.

There are a lot of options for it as well.

can you cut it for a 10" instead?

 

the one i got is the generic one, being sold at audio stores. i wish it was a little bigger.

Same here! A friend of mine gave me his sub for me giving him my old head unit and the sub box is too big for the trunk (i actually USE the trunk) so I thought about setting the sub up under the seats.

 

Please don't make me continue going to IKEA and measuring plastic storage boxes to use as mold forms

 

pics I have 2 8's under my seats but I ma curious if how what size box under the seat you fit an and what driver worked with it and did it match the T & S parameters etc.....

So sorry it took me so long to get these pics uploaded. Here you can see the 12" Box. I do have the seat pulled forward to show you more of the box. Alot of people (including Scion owners) have told me that it sounds awesome and very clean. Like I have a 12" ported box in the hatch or something.

PS - I also make the boxes for the 8 and 10" that fit under the seat.

 

HOw does it sound? Any vibrating or anything? Ive heard alot of the "underseat" enclosures rattle like crazy.

 

I don't have any rattle and it sounds really good!

 

mine do not rattle,but they were custom made

 

That sub is completely unprotected

 

He pulled it out from under the seat to take the picture.

 

i don't think he pulled it out.....he said it uses part of the rear floorboard.

It does use part of the rear floor board. It isn't pulled out, but I do have a grill for the subwoofer. Thought I'd take it off for the picture.

Anyway, Thats what it looks like. Anyone interested in one.
