Default Anyone have any DEI branded auto-start systems installed?

Just wondering if anyone has any DEI (Directed Eletronics Inc.) branded auto start system (Viper,Hornt, Python, Valet, etc) installed on their xB? If so, which model did you purchase and did you need to purchase any additional items like a module to have the kit installed?

I have the Viper w/remote start. No extras as far as I know. The key doesn't have a chip, so you don't need the remote start module that takes an extra key. I think my model number is 791vx or xv...one of those...LOL.

Thanks guys! Yeah I went into Circuit City today and saw a DEI Valet auto start for sale. I asked them if I needed any additional items since it was 139 which includes the installation costs already, but they kept urging that I needed the key module. I kept insisting to them that the xB does not have a transponder key. I specifically told them it was only the tC that has that. This was a guy straight from the installation area too, some people are just either plain ignorant or trying to make an extra buck for the store.

^^^ What he said. Thats the one I have. It works great! If my alarm goes off, my remote will let me know....so I can run out to my car and get the crap beat out of me by the same guy who is trying to steal my car!
Just kidding though....It is a great alarm. Kind of pricey at $500, but better to be safe than sorry.

Wait til your put in that position like I was, youll think twice.

I have the Viper 791xv. I put it in myself since Im an installer. needed nothing extra other than a relay to bypass my clutch since i have a 5spd.
