I have ordered a set and will find a way to make them work. They have a mounting depth of 2.8" !!!

If anyone has installed them tell me what you did

Doug you have aftermarket Speakers in now from what your profile says... So you most likely had some type of mounting bracket to hold those speakers in (since the factories are an odd shaped). You are a handy guy so get some 3/4" or 1"MDF and copy the mounting brackets so the speakers can be spaced out abit... and you shouldnt have depth issues.. Just make sure the bracket does not space them out to far or you wont be able to put the door panel back on.

 

i have them, they are just monted on a spacer ring, i would guess about a half inch thick.
