Hmmm tough one... i've heard some of Memphis stuff, not to shabby... there all good, i'd try and color scheme your decision... match it to your interior? That is what i would do in this situation! :D

ok, not to be smugg..but the main point of this thread is to find out why people who dont lik audiobahn, dont liek audiobahn??
i know kicer and memphis are great
the reason audiobahn is in the list is cuz i like the six-spoke subs and i want them reverse mounted if i get them.
all i want to know is reasons y people hate audiobahn!!

well audiobahn equipment is crap...there customer service sucks...the amps are over rated the subs and components sound like ___ do you need any more reasons just ask around in the audio comunity you'll hear 2 things either some dumbass thinks that their equipment is greatest stuff ever made or you get the otherside where people know what good equipment is and how it should perform
personally i'd rather use polk audio or sony before even thinking about using a audiobahn product but thats just my .02 cents

I have always really had good experiances with kicker I used to install for 3 years and kicker was one of our main brands. I have used their stuff a lot and really liked it I really was impressed with the sound out of the Referance series seperates. The only bad thing I have to say about the solobarics is that they require lots of power and I mean real power not that 1500 watt flea market amp that only really puts out 100 watts. I personally would use a 10 or 12 and a good 400-500 watt amp.

Oh yea, I also just recently used a pair of Memphis LVS15's... wasn't impressed, at all. 4 Strapped 1100D's on the bastards, still not impressive. I have a pair of AW1805Q's that I put in my buddy's S10 EXT cab... Running off of barely 1800wRMS from 2 SONY amps that he bought, with BARELY 9cu/ft of air space and 80sq/in of port tuned to 35hz he pulls consistant 154-155's on a capsule mic... one hell of a daily driver... on a stock charging system mind you... those LVS' were only doing 149 last I messed with them
YAY!!!
if your looking for something to hit hard go with a hifonics atlas http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/s...atlassubs.html
i just got one 12 for my tc and right now im hitting harder then my friends 2 l7's i got the sub for $300 but if you want to buy it online its cheaper. trust me this thing hits hard and im only using a kicker 1200.1 for now

IMHO, most people bust on the AB's 'cause theyre a bling bling company. All there stuff is flashy and that makes you think, "hmm, i bet the engineering is lacking."
I however can't comment as I havent had much experience with them, people around my area mainly run JL, kicker, PG, or sony(and my lonely ___ running elemental designs...good list by the way jdaniels).
Get what you want, make it kickass, and show everyone that had something to say that it's time to shut up.

I also have a memphis EQ so i have all 3 brands u mentioned covered but i know for a fact that audiobahn sound Q's are really serious and so is kicker, never heard the kind of audiobahn's ur talking about though and never heard the memphis' either but you can't go wrong with kicker amps, they put out more power than they say they do and other amps usually put iut less.
Dang, it seems errbody is dissin audiobahn. I was plannin on buying the audiobahn A12001DT Class D amp to power my L5 Kicker 12 inch, and get a 2 channel audiobahn amp to power Diamond Audio 6.5 components. Is it worth the money to invest into audiobahn? I read what people sayin? Its great, it sucks, its to showey? On and on and on? Can I get someone to preach on audiobahn amps? Is it worth it?
Audiobahn over rates their amps. If it says 2000 watts it more then likely 1000. The rating on amp are never true and dont have to be becuase there is no law against it. But companies like Kicker Memphis Diamond Eclipse and so on amps are under rated meaning if their amp says 1000 watts your getting more then that.
Memphis Pr1000 = 300rms 100peak run at 1/2ohm 1800watts Underrated
Kicker Always have birth certificates of the tested rating usually 1400+ for the 1200.1
Any amp you dont pay about $100 per 200watts in not real wattage.
Sony, Some Phoenix Gold, Audiobahn, Legacy, Pryamid, Boss, Any flea market or pawn shop crap lol.
In 2007 a new law will be passed that states amp must print the actuall power it has. All home audio recievers/amps have this law already. So jsut wait youll see everones ratings drop real quick soon.
Most companies test their amps at say 14 -17 volts at 1/2 or 1 ohm to get what they print on the amp and who runs at 14-17 volts regularly?

reguardless of what anybody thinks of any of these products, you really need to look at the install also! Personally I dont like the Ab's why? first off the ratings are not true, second the amps do not sound as good as many others, now with that said remember they dont cost half as much as some others do. You are going to pay for the quality, so if you are looking at a 1000 watt amp that costs 400.00 and one that costs 1500.00 the 1500.00 better sound and preform better. I have installed many AB products and honestly would say they sounded good for the money. Most people choose them because they are bling bling, and dont cost what others do.... remember you get what you pay for. What exactly are you trying to do with this system? SQ, DB DRAG? Answer that and im sure there is a ton of people on this forum that can educate you on what will work good. Personally the products that I use in my shop are Zapco Arc Audio and Ground Zero, for amps and subs, Now I know these products very well and I know exactly what I can expect out of them when someone asks...... So once again figure out what your expectations are and go from there
Everytime I read one of these forums, I have to ask myself?? "Why doesn't anyone use Alpine?" I have 2 Type R 12's with a Mrd-m500 pushing each one. You can get the speakers for about 125 ea. The amps are about 250-300$ Ask Phaze23LBC how they sound. :-) Im a firm believer that you can make ANYTHING sound good if you give it EXACTLY what they want. If your subs need 300w RMS/600w Peak give it to them, nothing more, nothing less. MAKE sure your voltage sits at 14.4v. Use HQ wiring (Monster Cable..pricey but good, Lightning Audio, basically any good Oxygen Free CopperSilver/Nickel). The install/power is WAY more important then the components IMO. Even cheap stuff like *cough* Audiobahn, Bose, Sony, Pioneer *cough* can sound good if you don't try to over-power them. I believe in brand matching also. JL subs work great with JL, Alpine with Alpine, and so on and so on. So yeah, buy whatever name makes you feel better about yourself, but make sure you give the subs and amps the power they require, and you'll be plenty happy, trust me. Remember its YOUR stereo, not everyone elses!!

We dont cary alpine I wish we did.... They are a very good company. They are one of the only companies left that make a single din cd/mp3/am/fm/dvd player. I miss the eclipse one they use to make. Alpine stuff Im not to familiar with becuase I rarely install it. But every install I do I like. Just think they are over prices a little like JL from what I have seen.
