Default AudioFormz xB Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosure

Hi All,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are just about done with our xBox subwoofer enclosure for the Scion xB! They should be available within the next week or two. Before these hit my dealers stores, if any are interested, I would be happy to extend a group buy at a nice DISCOUNT for all you xB enthusiasts on this site. The larger the group, the larger the discount! Also, if we can get enough interest in a particular color, I could possibly offer some painted (base coat/clear coat). Below is a pic and some enclosure specs. Feel free to contact me with any comments or questions.

Keep Jammin,

--Ronnie

Scion xB Enclosure Specs

Enclosure Type: Sealed 10" solid fiberglass with paint ready gelcoat finish.
Enclosure Volume: .70 ft^3
Enclosure depth: Approx. 5 1/2"
Enclosure Cutout: 9.125" ( Can easily be enlarged)

**This enclosure can fit oversized 10" subs up to a 10 3/8" diameter and 5 1/2" mounting depth**

I was going to make my own; but how much are they going to run for hopefully less than SPFR. If it's not that bad of a price I would not go through the trouble of building one.

Not to change the subject, but what kind of $$$ are we talking about? It looks nice.

How fragile is something like that?

well, other than ruining the usefulness of the entire trunk it's OK..

you cant' put anything back there for fear it would slide over and smack into the sub..

How about recessing the sub a little and installing a grill. Fiberglass would be able to support a little wieght if you had to set something on top, wouldn't it?

Don't they sell those woofer grates that protect the sub face from damage? Just asking. I'm no expert.

It looks like a great box! Gel coat for painting, 2 year warranty, some quality stuff. I checked out the Audioformz website to get an idea for price.
It was $199 for their standard 10" sub enclosure and $119 for the 2002 model on clearance. The $119 is do-able for me, but if this box ends up in the $200 range, I'm going to have to bow out.

Great box, high quality. Looks like you get what you pay for, I probably just can't afford it.

If they've made the mold already, which I'm sure they have, the price may be around that. If they have to make each one to spec, it's going to be at least four times that amount.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the interest! So everyone is asking about the $$$. This is a one time deal. I would like to get some feedback (good or bad) on anyone who purchases this enclosure. We do have other enclosures as well that can fit in the xB but these enclosures are not specifically made for the xB. However, they do look custom and have a beautiful gelcoat finish and are built incredibly strong. We have a FEW left on clearance that are our older models.

Like all of our enclosures, this xB enclosure is overbuilt and incredibly strong. You can stand on it, jump on it..you can't hurt it. Once you paint it, you will have to be careful not to scratch it. You can always buff minor scratches out. This enclosure will come with a 2 year warranty like all of our products and includes all mounting hardware and wiring. You can remove this enclosure as well if you need the room temporarily for storage. The subwoofer hole is recessed to reduce the chance of damaging your subwoofer. You can always add a grill as well to further protect your sub. Like with all of our products, you will have a 30 day money back guarantee with this enclosure. If you dont like it, return it in its original condition and you will receive a full refund minus shipping costs.

If there is enough interest in a particular xB color, I will look into offering these enclosures painted as well. Not sure on the cost at this point and this would delay shipping obviously. Contact me for more details.

Another note, we are in the process of having our own 10" subwoofer built for this enclosure and our others as well. It should be available in the next month or two. For anyone who participates in this group buy, I will also offer our 10" sub at a discount when it becomes available!

If anyone is interested in participating in the group buy, let me know. These enclosures should be ready to ship next week.

Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Keep Jammin,

--Ronnie

Is the 249 including shipping? You stated earlier that if you had alot of people you would be able to reduce the price more. How many people would you need to get the price down to 200 dollars.
