Default Auto-Dim Mirror w/ side airbags?

i was lookin at getting the autodim mirror but then i read on trdsparks that it can't be used with the side and curtain airbags. How come?

Due to the power wires being fed down the pillar, but that is no longer the case. Search on here and you will find how to wire it into the power from the sun roof....no longer a problem

oh...why would that be a problem, the airbags are in the headliner, not the pillars. I guess that makes sense tho. thanks

yup, i realized that when i took off my headliner to fix the sunroof squeak. The airbags are directly above the windows and will deploy straight down.

I'm guessing it's just a safety precaution to make sure a stupid installer doeasn't run wires that would interfere with the airbag system
