can I change the head of the gear shifter or is the stock part the only one that can be used.

you can use anything.. but umm.. need something with O/D button or something..

 

You dont need an o/d button but if you would like one you'll need a shifter with one ;-)

 

This may take a little creativity on your part, however here is an idea.

Take the whole shifter apart, either lock the switch in o/d mode or hide the switch, then buy a boot kit and a regular shift **** and make your auto look like a stick.

This may not be the easiest thing to do, but will open alot of options for you.
