Default avic-d3 issue with vid while driving - please help!!!!

Anyhoo.... I grounded out the parking brake to the basic radio ground wire.
This worked fine the first 2 days but today it decides to shut off the screen when i actual move and come back on while I am not driving.

What can I do?

KnoxBox gave some good info in this thread -> https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=169260
Not sure if that applies to your HU but it might help. Hope you get it working.

i heard every model after the avic-n2 were going to have some kind of mechanism that stops you from getting around the parking break thing. im not sure if that were true, but it sounds to me that it may be..

looks like all you need to do is add a wire to the white harness (main harness) in the open slot (above the Mute wire) and ground it. also make sure you ground the parking brake wire.

ok...

first off, pioneer spent a lot of time and money to keep people from bypassing the screen. There is an actual gyro (is that how you spell it?) built into the brain which can sense movement, hence turning the screen off. There are ways around this...

illnist, check your PM's...

i have this unit also and i also am having problems with this feature i think all it is is the nav is sensing the movement because with the parking break wire direct apped into the radio's ground you get to warnings everytime you turn the unit on and when you stop you have all your features even if your in gear its just the speed sensor wire sensing the movement i don't know how it would work out to just disconnect the speed wire i haven't tried it cause i don care that much about having the video i've had 6 different units of this sort: cda-1004 alpine, iva-d900 alpine, deh-p7800dvd pioneer, iva-w200 alpine, iva-d310 alpine, and now this one i've grown out of the video part but it would be nice not to get the messages.
