The people there should know that, and if you are looking to order it, buy it from somewhere else, it will be cheaper. www.onlinecarstero.com or www.sounddomain.com that is where I get all my car stereo stuff.

my best buy doesnt carry the dash kit for it yet, but the harness is a standard toyota 87 and up harness 70-1761. i used a multi pocket and iso-mounted my radio into my xb. i got the car from the dealer without the oem radio installed. i put my pioneer deh-p6500 in the same day i got the car.. there are gaps on either side of the radio but it fits in pretty good..

yeah the people there should know that but they didn't...one install guy kept insisting that I had to wire it to bypass the amp...even though I've never heard that...I know I could have gotten it online but my dad works for best buy so I'm gonna get the discount which would have been cheaper than getting it online...

yeah my best buy didn't carry it either but the Tweeter down the street had just gotten it in...I did get the harness from BB...

look at the first post in this forum, I posted the links and you can get the wiring harness and dash kit for about 20 bucks shipped from car domain.

best buy should have no problem as its a easy job to install, actually the easiest I have EVER done and there is no 'amp' in the XB nothing other than what is in the headunit and speakers for the stock system.

Bring them the harness and dash kit and if they start any crap tell him he is an idiot and belongs in the back unpacking trucks

id rather wait til we get it at best buy, why pay 13 bucks and shipping when i can get it for 3bucks.... im a mobile installer there at best buy... :D . anyways i can live with the gaps on either side for now. or mod a couple of strips of carbon fiber to fill it in.

well I installed it all today.... it looks good no gaps to speak of...a word of note about the AI Kit there is a misprint in the directions for the xB...

it says to break off those lower tabs on the main piece right below the pocket...yeah don't they are necessary to keep it in place I ended up having to glue them back on...

anyone know of a kit that doesn't have the pocket and just mounts it in the center or would that be a custom piece?

I useda a celica kit In the xB. I need to refab the factory brackets for the flush mount but it turnbed out really nice. A lot of other shops began calling me for fitment after that.

I used the kit and wiring harness that are linked in the FAQ @ the top of this forum... Those two pieces really do provide the best possible fit and finish for the xB as far as im concerned. My alpine deck fits beautifully and the pocket is nice for the remote control for the deck.

Yeah, I install for Best Buy. I used a Celica kit and drilled out the factory brackets. First, I cut all of the mounting tabs off of the Celica kit. Then, I cut notches into the aftermarket cage and mounted the radio into the kit as din style. Next, I mounted the factory brackets to the aftermarket head unit. Everything turned out pretty solid.

Is that the same way you did it JDMJim?
