Default Best place to tap power? (tC)

I plan on hardwring my radar detector to a switch on the left side of the steering wheel along with some neons in the engine bay and maybe a streetglow kit down the line. I was just wondering whats the best way to get some safe power to these addons. thanks

best spot is alway direct to the battery ... this way you get direct power and you will not draw power through the cpu ....

For high-power items like amps, straight to the battery with in-line fuse would be best. For smaller devices, you can get a mini fuse-tap and use the fuse box under the driver's side. Use a multimeter to see which empty slots have a constant power or switched ACC powered.

anyone know of a spot that always has 12v ?? i'm trying to install my underbodies (streetglow) and i want to be able to turn them on when the car is off and when the car is on, and every spot i find either works with (ONLY ON| or | ONLY IN ACC) and i would like to be able to have power in all situations...

anyone have an idea...
