Okay, I've been toying with this for a while. I want to mount a big (22-24") LCD monitor on the back door of my xB that would flip down when the hatch is open. Question, do hinged mounts exist on the market or am I going to need to find someone (extremely competent) to fabricate this? I envision the screen closing glass side against the door to protect it in travel with the hinge near the window. I want to keep it under cover for those trips through DC during the day ya know.

 

I believe you are going to have to fabricate this as it isn't your every day mod

 

it going to be lots of modifications on it not just to mount it but to fabricate it..........they have mounting brackets but they are a bit expensive plus are real heavy.....made for wall type ........I got mine sitting on a custom box so the only thing you can see its the tv..through the glass

LOL no haven't done that yet i was thinking doing it where the wiper was but thats a good one..tooo......
