Default Bought a group loop isolator

ok i bought this thing from radio shack for like 17 bucks, My rear speakers were making a crackling noise and when i accelerated a whisling noise would raise higher in pitch depending on my RPMS. The higher my RPMS the higher the whistling noise. Ok so i hooked up this ground loop isolator to the rear speakers, and now the noises are gone, however the music coming out of them is barley audible. Anyone got any ideas?

You had alternator whine before. Here's a few ideas for eliminating noise.(Outside of the GLI)

usu, try running sheilded wire. i did that in my acura years ago (very shoddy wiring) and all problems disappeard. also if (and i guess you are) running an aftermarket head unit/amp, isolate the ground on the amp.

If all else fails, and you are running an amp/aftermarket headunti combo, run a wire from the neg terminal on the amp to the neg wire on the headunit.

A lot of times this will help get rid of a lot of it.
