Default Business Idea, need feedback

I am considering opening a buissness. If you have not seen my other posts, i make the speaker boxes that fit in the spare tire of the xa/xb. Well, i have exspanded to start fitting other cars as well. I have decided if i am to kep doing this, I am going to set up a real buissness. This business wil focus on offer stealth install parts for various cars, such as the spare mounted sub, possible hidden amp racks, as well as cnc'ed spaker adapters and such. I also plan on selling a small amount of car audio equipment as well. Nothing major as this wont be m focus, we just have a electronics wholeseller here in town i could hook up with. I might carry pioneer, as well as a few other prands, such as power acustic, DB audio, ect. The reason i want to carry items is to offer loaded speaker boxes, ect.

Now here is the question, would anyone buy from a particular place if they offered a whole, turn key system. I am think of offering a loaded stealth box, amps, amp rack, speaker with custom made speaker plates, wiring ct as a package deal. Obviously the price would be kinda high, but i would try to offer it cheaper the the parts bought seperately. But would you like to buy a kit ft the xb, knowing the sub box fits, speaker plates and speakers have been tested, rcs's a re the riht length, ect?

please do not post anything about buying from me, or my products as i dont want this thread shut down, i just want feedback on what people are looking for in a custom electronics store.

i think you would get more business if you focused more on the car audio and then also offer the stealth and hidden equipment you can do. but i mean its up to you man. good luck with everything

Are you thinking about doing this for a living?

What does your market look like? Are you selling by the internet worldwide or just doing installs locally?

Do you have a regular job?

The main problem with doing custom work is that it usually needs to be done locally. What will you do if someone's stuff breaks? What will you do if someone flubs up their installation?

If you're going to specialize in stealth systems, google your competitors. I'm guessing there are at least a few people already with similar ideas. It will give you an idea of what kind of market you're facing.

oh, i have a full time job programming cnc routers for a commercial woodshop. I am building a small cnc in my garage ( about 36" x 36"). This would be a part time deal. I am already going around trying to get buisness with locla stereo shops, machining parts for them. WHat it takes a few hours to fab by hand, my cnc can crank out in minutes, and once i program it, its there for future use. My real goal is to target popular cars that are not truely main stream. I have already build a similair sub box for the mazda cx-7. I am also working on stealth home audio, such as furniture with subs built in, i ave sean a few others offering these as well, but no one is pursuing it hard here in OKC. I will stray away from actual car installs, leave that to those who are set up for it, i can make money installing head units. My web site would ship world wide, or atleast the US, but i plan on moving small numbers. Again i am not aming for the common cars, companies such as mtx and JL are making stealth boxes for the masses already

Took the words from my mouth!

A few more things: I think stealth systems would me a niche market (think about it, most people want to show off their stereo system). Niche markets tend to be smaller but can earn a loyal following who sing the praises of your product, assuming of course, it is praiseworthy.

What is the cost of a comparable product? If I can get a speaker box with speaker for $100 and you charge $250 for your "stealth" model, how many will you realistically sell? Take a look around....macdonalds sells burgers for $1, wallmart rules, 90% of all products is made in china.....my point being that the American public wants a deal over quality.
